This page explains what personal information GoldLife Herbal Nigeria collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain English.

1. Who we are
Goldlife Herbal World Nigerian Enterprises (trading as GoldLife Herbal Nigeria, “we”, “us”) makes and sells natural herbal products in Nigeria. We run the website at www.goldlifeherbal.com.ng, and we also take orders and answer questions on WhatsApp.
We are the “data controller” for the personal information described on this page, which means we decide how and why it is used. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the rules of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
You can find us at:
Abule Egba Office: No 1 Shobayo Street, directly opposite Mobil Filling Station, Abule Egba, Lagos
Factory: No 1 Goldlife Close, Oloruleke Town, Ado-Odo via Alapoti Junction, Ogun State, Nigeria
2. The information we collect
We only collect what we need to serve you. Depending on how you use the site, this includes:
Details you give us. Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address when you create an account, place an order, or fill in the contact form. If you message us on WhatsApp, we see your WhatsApp name and number and the messages you send.
Order information. The products you bought, the amounts paid, the payment method you chose, your delivery choice and the status of each order. We keep this so we can deliver your order, send receipts and help with returns.
Payment information. Card payments are handled by Paystack on their secure pages. We never see or store your full card number, PIN or CVV; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a payment reference. If you pay by bank transfer, we keep the proof of payment you send us.
Technical information. Your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. This is collected automatically by our hosting provider’s logs, and by the cookies described in section 5.
We do not ask for, and please do not send us, sensitive information such as your medical history. If you want advice on a product, tell us only what is needed for that question.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
process, pack and deliver your orders, and let you know where they are;
send you a receipt by email and, if you gave us a WhatsApp number, on WhatsApp;
reply to your questions and messages;
manage your account and remember your default delivery address;
handle returns, replacements and refunds;
keep the website secure and prevent fraud or abuse;
understand which pages and products are popular so we can improve the site; and
meet our legal duties, such as keeping accounting records.
We will only send you marketing messages (offers, new products, health tips) if you have agreed to receive them, and you can stop them at any time by replying “STOP” on WhatsApp, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting us. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
4. Who we share it with
We share only the information each partner needs to do their job:
Delivery riders and courier companies receive your name, phone number and delivery address so they can bring your order to you.
Paystack processes card payments. Their own privacy policy applies to the details you enter on their payment page.
Our email provider sends order receipts and replies on our behalf.
Meta (WhatsApp) carries the messages you exchange with us on WhatsApp under its own terms.
Our hosting and database providers (currently Vercel and Supabase) store the website and its data on secure servers.
Regulators, courts or the police, only where the law requires it or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
Some of these partners keep data on servers outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we choose providers with recognised security standards and contractual protections.
5. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:
Strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember the items in your shopping cart. The site cannot work without these.
No advertising or tracking cookies. We do not currently run analytics or advertising cookies on this site.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary ones, sign-in and the cart will stop working.
6. How long we keep your information
Orders and receipts: at least six years after the order, because Nigerian tax and accounting rules require it.
Account details: for as long as your account is open. Ask us to close it and we will delete or anonymise it, except for the order records above.
Contact form messages and WhatsApp chats: up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless they relate to an order.
Technical logs: normally no more than 90 days.
7. Keeping your information safe
The website is served over HTTPS, so what you type is encrypted between your device and our servers. Passwords are stored in hashed form and cannot be read by our staff. Access to orders and customer details is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, so if you believe your account has been misused, contact us straight away and we will help you secure it.
8. Your rights
Under the NDPA you can ask us to:
tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
correct information that is wrong or out of date;
delete your information where we no longer need it;
stop or limit how we use it, including for marketing;
send your information to you or another provider in a usable format; and
withdraw consent you gave us earlier.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 12. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handled your request, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.
9. Children
Our website and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
10. Links to other websites
Our site links to social media pages, Google Maps and payment pages run by other companies. This policy does not cover those sites; please read their own privacy notices.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or with a notice on the website.
